For the wise who realize everything as consciousness, what is there to meditate or not to meditate, what to speak or not to speak, what to do or not to do?

Only the Soul or consciousness is Real and all else is an illusion. Only your constant remembrance will allow you, one day, to realize what truth really is, and, in so doing realize the ‘Self',
The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation.  

The meditator, meditation, and the world in which the meditator exists are within the dualistic illusion or Maya. It is no use in indulging in meditation within the dualistic illusion or Maya.

Why waste time indulging in physical-based mediation instead the seeker has to utilize the same time to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana through deeper Self-search.

Meditations, yoga, and concentration are not the means to get rid of ignorance. Without getting rid of the ignorance the truth hidden by the dualistic illusion will not reveal.

Sage Sri, Sankara says: ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation.

Perfect understanding and realization of ‘what is what’ leads to Self-awareness. By holding onto theories one remains in the realm of duality. You have to mentally go on dropping what is not the truth through deeper Self-search. Finally when you become aware of the fact that, your ego, your body, and the world are one in essence then there is Self-awareness in the midst of duality.

Remember:~

Ashtavakra says: - "This is your bondage, that you practice Samadhi or meditation.”

Chandogya Upanishad:~ One who meditates upon and realizes the 'Self' discovers that everything in the cosmos-- energy and space, fire and water, name and form, birth and death, mind and will, word and deed, mantrams and meditation--all come from the Self.

Meditation is not the means to Self–knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Meditation is not the goal itself. It is an important and useful tool to quiet the body, mind, and emotions and allow one to enter a deep and quiet state of mind. Once the turbulent tendencies of the body or ego and emotions are brought into harmony, clarity, and renewed strength are available to meet and overcome each life challenge as it presents itself.

Meditation will not eliminate our life challenges but can enable us to harmonize our body, mind, emotions, and spirit and to focus that energy like a powerful beam of light on the challenges that lie ahead in worldly life.

When one sits down to meditate, he is thinking first of sitting, i.e.his body; then he tries to have only the thoughts of getting rid of the thoughts, with the thoughts of getting rid of the thought. Thus, he is thinking as a person within the world.

Thus, he remains as a person practicing meditation, thinking the ego alone is illusory, and the rest (universe) is a reality within the illusion. He only thinks of the object, within the object, as an object. But he is never aware of the formless subject.

People dip into meditation, but they do not understand that that is only one half of the truth and that this dipping is also a mental discipline for them to understand the true nature of the external universe, which understanding they must next get if they are to become a Gnani. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
