Why we should not worship physical Guru.+

RHK:~Q:~ Why we should not worship physical Guru.

Santthosh Kumaar:~ Where is your guru?
Where are you?
Where is the world in which you and your guru exist?
The world in which you and your guru exist is merely an illusion created out of Atman, which is present in the form of consciousness.
You and your guru are part and parcel of the illusory world or Maya.
You and your guru and the illusory world in which you and your guru exist are consciousness in their essence.
So, you and your Gurus' existence within the illusory world is bound to be illusory.
Consciousness, which is the cause of the illusory world is real and eternal.
Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.
So, when the existence of 'you' band your Guru and the illus world in which you exist are created out of a single clay, which is consciousness then there is no value for the illusory universe and you and your existence of your Guru.
That is why Swami Vivekananda himself said: ~ “You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher, but your own Soul.”
Swami Vivekananda: ~ Worship your Guru as God, but do not obey him blindly; love him all you will, but think for yourself. No blind belief can save you, work out your own salvation.
A Gnani never identifies himself as a Guru or a Yogi or some Guru's disciple. The one who accepts himself as a Guru or someone’s disciple is not a Gnani.
Ashtavakra Samhita: ~ "The man of knowledge (Gnani), though living like an ordinary man, is contrary to him, and only those like him understand his state.
Sage Sankara: ~ "Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread."
So, he wore a Guru's robe only for the sake of the ignorant. So he was identified as a Guru with parampara by religious people. For the truth seekers, Sage Sankara is a Brahma Gnani.
Sage Sankara himself said: ~ A Gnani "bears no outward mark of a holy man" (Stanza 539).
Thus, it proves that the religious gurus and yogis are not Gnanis because they identified themselves as holy people.
All those who wear the sanyasin robes are wearing them for the sake of bread and belong to the religion; they have nothing to do with Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
There is no need to criticize and condemn the gurus, yogis, and swamis because they are needed for the welfare of the ignorant masses in the dualistic world.
Vedas bar human worship: ~
Yajur Veda
"They are enveloped in darkness, in other words, are steeped in ignorance and sunk in the greatest depths of misery who worship the uncreated, eternal prakrti -- the material cause of the world -- in place of the All-pervading God, But those who worship visible things born of the prakrti, such as the earth, trees, bodies (human and the like) in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time.":~ (Yajur Veda 40:9.)
Then why worship and glorify the Gurus and Yogis (human form) in place of God when Veda bars such activities and also warns people who indulge in such activities are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time.

Such worship, devotion, and reverence to Gurus will never allow you to realize the ‘Self’, which is hidden by ignorance.
Remember:~
The seeker of truth needs to know why human worship is an obstacle in the path of wisdom. Worshipping human beings as God is a religious propagated myth.
Religion is not spirituality. Never mix religion with Spirituality or Adyathma.
Human worship is not a Vedic idea it is adopted from Buddhism and Jainism.
Hinduism which indulges human worship is not a Vedic religion or Sanatana Dharma.
Vedas bar human worship because the human is part of the creation. The creation is the dualistic illusion or Maya.
Worshipping anything from the creation (dualistic illusion or Maya) in place of the Atman the God in truth is barred by Vedas.
Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)
The Vedas talk about Brahman which refers to the ultimate truth or ultimate reality. Consciousness is the ultimate truth, therefore, consciousness is Brahman and Brahman is God in truth. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Brahman and Atman are things you can never see. So do not inquire into them. Inquire into the world around you.+

Most religious Saints of the past were social reformers, thus, they were more concerned with humanism than the truth. Their contribution is ...
