Swami Vivekananda:~ “If religion and life depend upon books or upon the existence of any prophet whatsoever, then perish all religion and books! Religion (Dharma) is in us. No books or teachers can do more than help us to find it, and even without them, we can get all the truth within. You have gratitude for books and teachers without bondage to them, and worship your Guru as God, but do not obey him blindly; love him all you will, but think for yourself. No blind belief can save you, work out your own salvation. Have only one idea of God - that He is an eternal help.
In Tattireya Upanishad:~ "SatyaM vada. DharmaM Cara." Speak the truth, and practice dharma. Now if you want to practice dharma, you should first know what it means. (1.11.1)
The word, “dharma “is found in the karikas, which means Atma in Advaita Vedanta.
In reality, the “dharma” means Athma. Athma means Advaita. Advaita means existence. the existence is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.
Dattatreya's Song of the Avadhut (6.25-26):~ There has never been any activity or rest; The one Purity is stainless and motionless, is It not?
Truly, the Atman is the one supreme ‘Self’; How, then, should it worship? To whom should it bow?
There is no distinction between "embodied" and "bodiless”; “ the " "Wrong action or "right action"--neither exists.
Truly, the Atman is the one supreme ‘Self’; How, then, should it worship? To whom should it bow?
Advaitic wisdom is to realize there are no two. Advaitic wisdom is impossible without inquiring into the nature of the mind. The knowledge of the matter and spirit is Gnana, not the knowledge of matter alone.
Advaita only means the negation of duality. The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the ultimate truth or Brahman. Consciousness is the cause of the origin, maintenance, and withdrawal of the universe is Advaita (i.e. non-dual), which means that consciousness transcends all conceptions, positive and negative. Nothing positive can ever be imagined or said about it.
Consciousness is existence absolute, awareness absolute. The Existence of absolute means that consciousness is not unreal or nonexistent. And it is not unconsciousness. Nothing positive can be stated about consciousness. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
