The difference between meditation and who am 'I; -inquiry.+

The difference between meditation and Who am 'I'-inquiry.

MEDITATION:~

Sage Sankara says: ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation.
When Sage Sankara says, exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation. Not the truth through deeper self-search.
Finally, when you become aware of the fact that, your ego, your body, and the world are one in essence then there is Self-awareness in the midst of duality.
For meditation, one need not sit and chant God's name or concentrate on some object. Anything you do will not be meditation.
If there is a doer, then it is not meditation. As long as there is doing, there is ignorance. As long as the doer is present, the ego is present. If the ego is present, the whole world is present.
If the world is present, the duality is present. If the duality is present, then there is an illusion. If the illusion is present the birth, life, death, and the world are experienced as reality.
By realizing, the world in which you exist is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Knowledge of the single stuff is Self-knowledge.
Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana leads to Self-awareness.
In Self-awareness, the Soul, the Self, remains in its own awareness of its nondual true nature, in the midst of the illusory form, time, and space.
Thus, the Self-awareness is real meditation. Mediation is to realize the nondual nature of the Soul, the Self.
Meditation is not focusing the attention on the ‘I’. The ‘I’ is not limited to the ego because the ‘I’ is the whole universe.
The ‘I’ is ignorance. Meditation is the total negation of ignorance, which is present in the form of the ‘I’.
Only in ignorance, there is conflict. There is no conflict in the nature of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul is ever free and is totally free from conflict. All the conflicts belong to the dualistic illusion.

Meditation is an individual act. The Soul the Self is not an individual because it is ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.
Meditation is possible within the domain of form, time, and space. Form, time, and space are the products of ignorance. When the ignorance vanishes, then only the reality appears.
***
Meher Baba: ~ ‘Meditation has often been misunderstood as a mechanical process of forcing the mind upon some idea or object.
Chandogya Upanishad:~ One who meditates upon and realizes the 'Self' discovers that everything in the cosmos-- energy and space, fire and water, name and form, birth and death, mind and will, word and deed, mantrams and meditation--all come from the Self.
Sage Goudpada: ~ “To establish the truth of Nonduality by sheer reasoning alone. He begins by defining "What is real?" "What is unreal?" etc, because that is the right way to discuss or teach. People must first know what they are talking about. (Mandukya Karika)
Consciousness is the only reality in which the universe exists, to which the universe belongs; from which the universe has emerged, which is the cause of the universe and which itself is uncaused. Thus, the universe is nothing but consciousness.

WHO AM 'I'?- INQUIRY:~

By inquiring, 'Who am 'I'?, 'I' will not vanish. How can you still exist along with the world if 'I' vanishes?
You, along with the world in which you exist, exist because of the 'I'.
The 'I' appeared as the universe. When 'I' disappears, the universe also disappears, because 'I' itself is the universe.
You appeared along with the universe, and you will disappear along with the universe.
Self-inquiry’ is finding out the ‘Self’, which is hidden by the illusory world, in which we exist.
By inquiring ‘Who am I?’, ignorance will not vanish. Without getting rid of the ignorance, the Advaitic wisdom will not dawn.
Without Advaitic wisdom, it is not possible to realize the Advaitic truth, which is hidden by ignorance.
That is why Sage Sankara Says: ~ VC-63. Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the ‘Self’, how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? It would result merely in an effort of speech.
What is the use of saying ‘I AM THAT’ without knowing what the ‘Self’ is in actuality?
Without knowing the truth of the Self, and without realizing the truth of the world in which you exist, it is impossible to realize the Advatic truth hidden by ignorance.

WHO AM I? - inquiry is not Self-inquiry. Self-inquiry is for realizing the 'Self' hidden by the 'I'.
Do not waste your time with WHO AM I? teachings which are meant for beginners who just started their quest. They are only helpful as starters. In later stages, you find them inadequate and useless. These ‘I-centric teachings are semi-religious and semi-spiritual is not Advaitic wisdom, which is pure spirituality.
Your quest for the truth will not be completed with WHO AM I? teachings. This 'I-centric teaching will not help you to unfold the mystery of the 'I'.
People who are emotionally stuck to the ‘I’-centric gurus and their teaching are unaware of the fact that their emotions and sentiments keep them permanently in the grip of ignorance.
Advaita is the nature of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. First, know what is mind. The mind is not within the body. The form, time, and space together is the mind. Without the form, time, and space, the mind ceases to exist.
Without form, time, and space, the world in which you exist ceases to exist. Without the world in which you exist, the waking ceases to exist. Without waking, the ‘I’ ceases to exist. Thus, a perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is very much necessary to unfold the mystery of the ‘I’.
Rest in consciousness by realizing the world in which you exist is nothing but consciousness. The Soul is the fullness of consciousness without division of form, time, and space. Thus, consciousness alone is real, and eternal all else is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.
Sage Sankara says: ~ “What is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead to the final Goal. (Commentary on Vedanta Sutra)
Nothing has to be accepted as truth without verification. Sage Sankara is the only Sage who has final authority on the Advaitic truth (non-duality).
The Advaitic truth is rational truth and scientific truth without dogma. Advaitic wisdom has nothing to do with orthodox Advaita, which is dualistic. Orthodox Advaita is a sect, which blindly accepts and follows dogmas and superstitions. :~Santthosh Kumaar
