The conviction of the Advaitic truth is seen to proceed from Soul-centric reasoning, and it does not arise neither by bathing in the holy rivers nor by indulging in Kriya yoga, Pranayama nor control of the vital force nor by glorifying personal Gods, Godmen, and Gurus nor by religious rituals.
Success depends essentially on a qualified aspirant; time, place circumstances, and other such means are but auxiliaries in this regard.
The seeker after the truth should take to Soul-centric reasoning and discriminate between dual and nondual experiences to realize what truth is and what is untruth.
The seeker who has an intense urge to know the truth and is sharp in grasping, skillful in understanding and assimilating without the scriptures, the one who has got these characteristics is the fit recipient of the ‘Self’- knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
Soulcentric reasoning reveals the ultimate truth or Brahman. The Soul is the witness of the three states and is the ultimate key to unfolding the truth, which is hidden by ignorance.
From the standpoint of the Soul, the innermost Self, there can be no religious discord. The Soul has no religion because the religion is based on form, time, and space whereas the Soul is formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.
The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. Consciousness is universal the universal truth. Therefore, Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is for everyone.
Since people are not prepared to verify the facts about their own belief system they are unable to understand and assimilate the Self-knowledge of Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
Without an urge to know the truth and preparing the ground properly and consistently in his efforts to know the truth beyond form, time, and space, he will not be receptive to receiving Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
Remember:~
Sage Goudapada: ~ To establish the truth of Nonduality by sheer reasoning alone. He begins by defining "What is real?" "What is unreal?" etc, because that is the right way to discuss or teach. People must first know what they are talking about. (Manduka Karika)
The reasoning is interpretable in two ways. The egocentric interpretation is to apply it only to the waking experience.
The Soulcentric interpretation is to apply it to the three states. The latter leads to a final settlement of the problems because it takes all data into consideration.
As we keep digging deeper and deeper, the truth will shine as pure awareness in the midst of the duality (waking).
The Soul the innermost Self is our ultimate teacher. It is only our inner teacher that will walk with us to the goal, for the Soul is the goal. From the ultimate standpoint, there is no teacher, there is no teaching and there is no student.
Millions are searching for the truth, but one in a million will realize it. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
