Is there a God? What is God’s nature? Let there be proof.+

What is the value of mystic experience, what is the value of the words of great people of the past and wise men of the present?

In pursuit of truth, the seeker must examine and evaluate them all to find the truth.

• Is there a God?

• What is his nature?

• Let there be proof.

~Such questions must arise.

Bhagavad Gita says ~ Every man knows God according to his likes and dislikes. That he must know God as Truth. We must have proof of what God has done and what he is doing.

• Why did God create pain and pleasure?

• Why does he torture humankind with epidemics and calamities?

• Has God no better business to do?

• Is God, teaching people lessons through these sufferings and setbacks?

• What lesson can God teach the little child destroyed by fire the other day?

• How can we believe that God is all-merciful when he constantly displeases all humanity?

Suppose one says he has faith in a religion or some teaching. Suppose another says he has no faith in them. Thus, there is a contradiction.

No one can go to do anything about it. Nothing can be done. In the real truth, there can be no contradiction, nor any possibility of it. The realm of truth cannot contradict anymore, because there is no duality in reality.

Those who pray to God for something occasionally get what they ask for. They then declare it to be a miracle to be placed to the credit of God! But when they fail to get what they pray for they do not attribute these failures to God, and thus the obvious fact that the failures far outnumber the successes, as for instance thousands of families of the soldiers who prayed to God to protect their dear ones, but the prayers remained unheard and they have lost their dear ones in the wars.

The seeker has to examine every aspect." he must think deeply to know the ultimate truth of his existence. That is to inquire.

All secret silent mental invisible service of mankind by occult power is mere imagination based on the false ‘Self’ within the false experience. There are the visible tangible signs in the world. There are signs of the benefit of yogis in the world to stop human suffering through yogic power. If such yogic power ever existed all wars and calamities would have been stopped. Such power exists only in mythological stories. Mythological stories are nothing but a myths.

The seeker should not believe it just because it is mentioned in the books. All such books are meant for the ignorant masses.

All the prediction belongs to the realm of the duality. The duality is not a reality because it is based on the false ‘Self’ (ego or you) within the false experience (waking). All predictions as to what these yogis will do in the future are unacceptable because verification is not immediately possible. Who can take them as having any worth? Therefore, they belong to the world of imagination. The imagination belongs to the unreal world.

God in truth is not physical. God is present in the form of the Spirit. The Spirit is the cause of the Universe and the Spirit itself is uncaused. Unprepared mind

From the standpoint of the Spirit, the form, time, space, and name are mere an illusion. The Spirit alone is real and all else is an illusion. In reality, the Spirit (God in truth and matter (the world in which we exist) is one.

God in truth (Spirit) is not separate from the universe (matter) because God (Spirit) and the universe (matter) are one, in essence. Without God, the universes in which you exist cease to exist. God is the fullness of the Spirit. Thus, any division in the Spirit, as the form, time, and space is merely an illusion. Thus, the universe in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of the Spirit, which is God.

The atheists and religious people both are believers. The atheists believe there is no such thing as God and religious people believe there is God. Belief is not the truth. One must know God in truth. The truth will set the Spirit free from the illusory prison of form, time, and space.

Remember this:~

The religion preaches that God is one and the ways to God are many. It simply tries to lead them to darkness with its dogma and idea of many Gods, which are apart from the Self. Religion is based on the false self (ego) and false experience (world) thus; all religion-based beliefs are falsehoods.

Religious Gods are based on the belief. Belief is not God. Religious God cannot be considered as the center because, the Soul, the innermost ‘Self’ is the center of all that exists.

Without the Soul, the world in which you exist ceases to exist, which means the religious God is dependent on the Soul for his existence. God in truth is only the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness.

Even the Bhagavad Gita says: ~ “Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God in truth) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, that God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Even Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God in truth) is the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

Even Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

The Brihadaranyaka Upanishad declares:~ "He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from the Self does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)". (1. 4. 10)

No mantras help to get rid of ignorance. All the mantras and rituals are meant for the ignorant populace, which strongly believes, in the world in which he exists as a reality. For one who wants to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, the mantas will not help to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

That is why Sage Sankara:~VC~.61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one?

VC- v6~ Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together

Sage Sankara goes on to say: ~A sickness of not cured by saying the word “medicine.” You must take the medicine.

Liberation does not come by merely saying the word “Brahman.” Brahman must be experienced. Until you allow this apparent universe to dissolve from your consciousness until you have realized Brahman(God), how can you find liberation just by saying the word Brahman? The result is merely a noise. Until a man has destroyed his enemies and taken possession of the splendor and wealth of the kingdom, he cannot become a king by simply saying “I am a king.”

A buried treasure is not uncovered by merely uttering the words: “Come forth.” You must follow the right directions, dig, remove the stones and earth from above it, and then make it your own. In the same way, the pure truth of the Atman, which is buried under Maya and the effects of Maya, can be reached by meditation, contemplation, and other spiritual disciplines but never by subtle arguments.

As indicated in ISH Upanishads: ~ “By worshipping Gods and Goddesses you will go after death to the world of Gods and Goddesses. But will that help you? The time you spent there is wasted because if you were not there you could have spent that time moving forward towards Self-knowledge, which is your goal. In the world of Gods and Goddesses, you cannot do that, and thus you go deeper and deeper into darkness.

It clearly indicates that if the human goal is to acquire Self-Knowledge then why one has to indulge in rituals and glorify the conceptual Gods, Goddesses, and Gurus to go into deeper darkness. Instead spend that time moving forward towards Self-knowledge, which is one’s prime goal. :~Santthosh Kumaar
